| UK smoking ban |
Smoking is banned in all indoor public places in the UK, and the majority of European countries now impose a similar ban. You can still smoke in places considered to be ‘homes’, such as hotel bedrooms; however, many hotels have designated all bedrooms as NON-SMOKING. |

| Luggage |
Luggage Restrictions – We reserve the right to refuse any bulky or unusual articles on the basis of weight, size or shape, unless notified and accepted in writing by us at the time of booking. No dangerous, contaminatory or pressurised items can be carried and you must declare to us any item you feel might fall into this category. Please restrict your luggage to ONE MEDIUM SIZED SUITCASE (NOT EXCEEDING 18 KGS) and ensure its contents are safely, securely and properly packed. It is essential for couples travelling together to bring two smaller cases rather than one overweight case. Medication in luggage – Please ensure that ALL REGULARLY USED MEDICATION is NOT packed away in luggage that is to be stowed in the luggage compartment on the coach. This should be kept on the person or be carried as hand luggage inside the vehicle. Luggage handling at Interchanges – On the vast majority of our UK and Irish tours luggage will be transferred from your people carrier to your tour coach by our driving team. However, on some Continental tours luggage handling at interchanges cannot be guaranteed. Wheelchairs – We will carry folding wheelchairs in the luggage compartment but space restrictions mean we can only carry two wheelchairs per tour. It is imperative that any requirement for large or bulky items is notified at the time of booking in order that we can safely monitor our load factors. Also, luggage space in our people carriers is extremely limited and any large or bulky items we are not advised of prior to travel may be refused. Items such as electric scooters/buggies CANNOT be carried. Passengers needing such mobility aids should consider hiring them in resort. |

| Holidays for all |
Disabled Passengers – We try to provide holidays that everyone can enjoy, but we do recognise that not all our holidays will be entirely suitable for people with disabilities, poor mobility or special needs. Some coach tours involve a great deal of travelling and hotel changes and it is not possible for our drivers to provide sufficient level of care, particularly in cases of mobility problems. If each passenger who has a disability is accompanied by a companion who is able to provide the necessary assistance, and the five steps can be negotiated when boarding the coach, then you are most welcome. Book early though as front seats are soon gone. In order that our Reservations staff can check the suitability of your chosen holiday it is vitally important they are give full details of any disability and that any special requirements are entered in the appropriate section of the Booking Form. The attendant Bowens Group staff member and hotelier are not responsible for the individual daily care and administration of medication and health care. If you do not advise us of any disabilities, we cannot be responsible for any inconvenience or costs incurred by you and this may include us having to refuse to take you on holiday. Please help us to help you!
Special Requests – If you have any special requests, e.g. low floor
room, special diet etc. you MUST advise us at
the time of booking by completing the ‘Special
Requirements’ panel on the Booking Form.
Whilst your request will be passed on to the
hotel(s) concerned, we cannot guarantee that
they will be able to comply. We cannot,
therefore, accept any booking, which is made
conditional upon a special request being
satisfied. Requests for special menus may incur
an additional charge, which is payable directly to
the hotel. |
| |
| Rooms |
Rooms are specified at the time of booking, and a confirmation is issued showing the type of room, which has been reserved, i.e. double, twin, single, triple. On continental tours a twin room will often consist of a large base with two separate mattresses, and a triple room will often consist of two beds and a foldaway or bunk bed. Bookings for rooms with private facilities will be deemed to be effected by the provision of either bath & WC or shower & WC. Our liability for the provision of extra facilities for which a supplement is paid shall be limited to the brochure price of that supplement. When a single room is available it may be subject to a supplementary charge and these will be declared at the time of booking. |
| |
| Tour references |

However, we do reserve the right to change the operator without prior notice. |
| |

For our air based holiday selection were are acting as an agent for the Air Travel Organisers Licence (ATOL) holder listed and we will be handling the deposit and balance payments on their behalf, so you are assured of complete peace of mind. |

Our responsibility to You
|
|
We accept responsibility for ensuring that all component parts of your holiday as described on our website are supplied to you to a reasonable standard and this includes Optional Excursions purchased through our employees or agents. If any such part is not provided in the advertised manner, we will pay you reasonable compensation unless the non-provision was due to circumstances which we could not predict and which were beyond our control such as mechanical failures, adverse weather, road or traffic conditions.
i) Please remember that some amenities (e.g. hotel lifts, swimming pools etc) require servicing and cleaning and may not therefore be available at all times. Some services may be affected by weather conditions and their availability is entirely at the discretion of the provider of the service
ii) Some excursion itineraries include the use of ferries and other forms of transport which can be affected by inclement weather, and may have to be cancelled or arrangements changed. Wherever possible a suitable alternative will be offered. iii) The published running times of services are estimates only and we will not be liable for any loss (however caused) arising from failure to operate services in accordance with published timings. |
